Ava Pivot returns from Lake Como to share her signature lighting style, honed through fashion-forward portraits that once lit up NYC’s editorial scene.
Followed up by Per Appelgren, the German-Swedish visionary known for bold colours, expressive posing, and surreal fashion storytelling he’ll guide you through building images that are not just seen, but felt.
Rounding out the lineup is Sophia Novelle, a second-generation portrait artist blending beauty, fashion, and documentary flair to turn real-life moments into cinematic memories, she’ll be spotlighting the Clic light shaping tools.

Workshop Fashion Editorial Photography: (45min, German/English)
I’m Per Appelgren - a German‑Swedish fashion & beauty photographer, working between Paris and Berlin. I taught myself behind the camera and later on spent some years under the wing of mentors in Berlin and London. Armed with a degree in Business Administration and International Politics, I eventually followed my heart and chose my passion, photography.
My work thrives on bold colour, unexpected angles and expressive posing - creating space for every personality to shine and redefining what beauty can be. I not only believe in diversity, but also in sharing knowledge and empowering the next generation of image-makers.
In our Profoto workshop, we’ll dive into contemporary fashion editorial and campaign photography and explore how to sculpt surreal worlds with light, experimenting with form and colour so that your images aren’t just seen, but felt.

Workshop Sophia Novelle Wedding Photography: (45min, German)
Sophia Novelle grew up surrounded by photography, with both parents working as professional portrait artists. That early exposure shaped her distinctive eye for light, emotion, and elegance. With a strong background in the fashion and beauty industry, Sophia blends technical precision with artistic intuition, creating images that are both stylish and soulfully authentic.
At the Roadshow, Sophia will demonstrate how she uses Profoto’s Clic light shaping tools to craft her signature fashion-infused wedding and portrait photography. Her session will offer practical insights into working with natural expressions, dynamic lighting setups, and turning real-life moments into editorial-style imagery.
